An organization with 24,000 desktops and servers spread over 525 offices with locations
throughout the 50 United States, the Caribbean, and Guam. This has developed into a ten
year relationship where U.S. Micro is the only authorized vendor for this customer.
Accomplishments
Initial Impact
- U.S. Micro certified field technicians personally retrieved all 24,000
assets from approximately 525 locations over 13 consecutive Monday mornings.
- When an OEM vendor supplying the new replacement equipment offered to retrieve
this equipment by charging the end-user $1,000,000.00, U.S. Micro responded
by purchasing the equipment outright for $1,100,000.00 with no chargebacks
to the Customer. This resulted in a Net Purchase Price to the customer that
was $2,100,000.00 better than the OEM. Compare this to
the consignment model where you watch your asset depreciate and your
profit disappear into fees.
Ongoing
- U.S. Micro went onsite to wipe the hard drives of 5,000 desktops and
laptops as part of the customer’s acquisition of another firm with 100 office
locations.
