U.S. Micro has the in-house capabilities to process the following: desktops, laptops, servers, notebooks, PDAs, cell phones, monitors, gaming equipment, printers, copiers, scanners, audio and visual equipment and more.
The Recycling Process
U.S. Micro has the infrastructure to support a closed-loop process due to its investment in a state-of-the-art IT Demanufacturing and Distribution Center. Whether a device is ultimately resold or needs to be recycled, U.S. Micro can EPA-compliantly process the e-waste in house, eliminating the risk associated with using downstream vendors.
Materials are sent through an advanced shredder with the capability of handling five tons per hour. U.S. Micro then separates ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and plastic commodities that are later sold and used to manufacture new products. More complex items are dismantled by hand into component pieces before the shredding process.
